Hudson Yards Mannequin Sculpture

An iconic 3D-printed sculpture in collaboration with edesign consultants and Neiman Marcus
This pair of sculptures was produced in 2019 for the grand opening of the Neiman Marcus store in Hudson Yards NYC. Based on the organic geometric forms of bone structure in combination with Japanese origami techniques, I used several references of hand constructed pieces to model the structure. The 3D modeled structure was then divided into smaller separate sections, which were printed in resin and joined together before finishing. Each sculpture stands just over 2 meters tall, and is assembled using 8 identical 3D printed parts

Throughout the process of designing and actualizing these pieces, I went through a number of different concepts with the visual design team at Neiman Marcus before settling on a design to put through manufacturing.
